Role: Test Engineer (Automation)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the quality of selected application/product features.
Conducts a range of quality-control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Develop Automated test cases and test data to thoroughly test positive and negative program logic. Executes test scripts according to application requirements documentation.
Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests accurately and in timely manner, debugging to find root cause, validation of the resolved ones and closing it
Work closely with Development and Product management teams to provide feedback on design (functional and technical) and user scenarios
Development/Automation responsibilities include doing code review / bug analysis, analyzing development and test impacts, writing test tools, Automation Framework and automating test-cases (using Selenium Webdriver and other tools)
Drive improvements in unit testing coverage, design automation framework, develop test suites, and expand automated testing harness and identifying automation opportunities.
Able to demonstrate expertise by sharing best practices, tools, white papers etc and drive engineering excellence across organization
Qualifications:
3-6 years of relevant experience with minimum 2 years of test automation experience using Selenium RC/Webdriver. Should be strong in in Core Java fundamentals and Object Oriented concepts.
Key skillset required: Core Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, SQL, XML , JSON, JUnit/TestNG framework, Selenium Webdriver
Engineering Degree/Master Degree in Computer Science or similar field with good results
